This is not a problem of Singular. We use one of the
standard dynamical libraries, namely "ncurses", which
should be present at the system you use. At Sun
workstations, however, it is not installed by default.
The file "libncurses.so.*" - the one Singular links
dynamically - is a part of ncurses package.

Please ask your system administrator to install it (it is
freely available and very useful).

You may also download a working version of libreadline.so
from
ftp://www.mathematik.uni-kl.de/pub/Math ... eadline.so
