 Post subject: complex numbers

hi,

sorry for that simple question, but how can i write down complex numbers?

i tried:

ring r= complex, ... ;

ideal J = x-5-5i, ... ;

and then had an error as "i" was new to singular.

thx for ur help!

You have to include a '*' between the imaginary unit 'i' and the number, i.e.

Code:
ideal J = x-5-5*i, ... ;
