When I run surf the display with the plot is strangely transparent. Anyone else experience this? Any luck in fixing it?

Dear surfer,
after creating the color image, please open the surf control window and check whether the value of the variable 'transparence' is set somewhere. The higher the value of this variable the more transparent the image looks.
Try a setting like transparence=5; or transparence=1;
You might also like to remove the keyword 'transmitted_light' from the variable illumination.
After each change of these settings, click on execute script to redraw your image with the new setting.
I hope this helps, Anne

I should have been more clear. It is not just the plotted images that are transparent, it is the entire gui intrface. I think its a dependency problem of some sort., something with the java? Maybe a dependency that I AM MISSING?
